The Indiana Department of Transportation and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are committed to improving the I-69 corridor by constructing the I-69 Ohio River Crossing (I-69 ORX).

About the Project

I-69 ORX is a key, final connection of I-69 between Evansville, Indiana and Henderson, Kentucky.

It’s divided into three sections for construction.

Section 1: Kentucky

Work is substantially complete on the Kentucky approach from extending from KY 425 to US 60.

Construction on the new river crossing, a bi-state project, is expected to begin in 2027.
