The bridge is expected to be closed through October
Drivers in Henderson need to prepare for an extended bridge closure and lane closure to accommodate work on Section 1 of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing.
The Adams Lane bridge over US 41 is scheduled to close on or after Wednesday, Sept. 6 and is expected to be closed through the end of October.
Crews are rehabilitating the bridge during the closure with a deck overlay and upgrades to the barrier and guardrail.
Signed detours will be in place utilizing Airline Road and Southside Drive. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and pay close attention while adjusting to the change.
US 41 Lane Closures
Additional project work will lead to a lane closure on a small section of US 41 southbound. One lane is scheduled to close on US 41 South from just north of the Audubon Parkway overpass to just south of the Adams Lane overpass. The closure is scheduled to begin on or after Tuesday, Sept. 5 and continue through early November.
The closure will allow crews to remove and replace pavement in the area and widen the Audubon Parkway ramp to interstate standards. The closure will start in the right lane and move to the left lane.
Drivers should watch signage and obey the posted limit in the construction zone.
