Visit with Project Team members from Henderson and Evansville
Significant progress can be seen on both sides of the river as work continues on the I-69 Ohio River Crossing (ORX). The ORX team will have a booth at Tri-Fest in downtown Henderson this weekend, and Project Team members will be available to answer questions and share progress.
The ORX booth will be located near First Street, and Project Team members will be available 12 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and 12:00 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 27.

Information will be provided on the new US 60 interchange and the roundabouts expected to open this summer, including a tabletop map to practice “driving” the new interchange.
Attendees can view progress videos and photos, review maps, pick up project handouts, and get Roundabout Ready pens, coasters and stickers.
The Roundabout Ready page on the I-69 ORX project website features a rendering of the new US 60 interchange, along with maps, information on what to expect, tips for driving roundabouts, and more.
Section 1 of I-69 ORX is the approach work in Kentucky. It includes a 6+ mile extension of I-69, 9 new bridges, 7 rehabilitated bridges, a new US 60 interchange, the reconstructed interchange at KY 351/2nd Street, and a new US 41 interchange. Work on Section 1 started in late summer 2022 and is expected to be finished late this year.
Section 3 of I-69 ORX includes some of the approach roadways and bridges in Indiana. The roads and bridges being constructed now will be used for all-weather construction access to build the future I-69 bridge. They will open to traffic after the new bridge is complete. Work on Section 3 started in fall 2024 and is scheduled to be complete in late 2026.
