The beginning of a new year is a great time to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to look ahead to the coming year.
Drivers saw a tremendous amount of progress in Henderson in 2024. Three roundabouts opened at the new KY 351/2nd Street interchange. Portions of the new US 41/future I-69 opened to traffic and seven new bridges opened.
A big focus for work this year will be the new US 60 interchange, where three new roundabouts are expected to open to traffic by this summer. Finishing touches at KY 351/2nd Street will include plantings, erecting flagpoles, and installing a gateway sign for the City of Henderson.

• Three new roundabouts at US 60
• New roadway open to traffic (US 41 to US 60)
• Adams Lane & Airline Road bridge reconstructions
• KY 2084 interchange removal & regrading
• KY 351 interchange lighting and aesthetics
• Noise wall installation
• Paving upgrades along existing US 41
• CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE!

Ground was broken on Section 3 last September, and crews haven’t looked back. Work is well underway with new bridges starting to take shape. Section 3 includes part of the approach roadways and bridges in Indiana. They will be used for all-weather construction access to the river to build the new I-69 bridge. The roads and bridges being built now for construction access will open to the public when the new I-69 bridge opens to traffic.

• 60% of the project complete by end of 2025
• All bridge piers complete in 2025
• Construction complete in late 2026
