Work is scheduled for Friday and may continue into Saturday

Short-term stoppages are expected Friday on US 41 near the Adams Lane bridge as crews continue making significant improvements to the bridge. Rolling closures of up to 15 minutes are expected between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.

The short-term stoppages will impact northbound and southbound lanes. Similar short-term closures are planned for Saturday, March 1 from 7 to 10 a.m., if needed to complete the work.

The actual dates may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur. Drivers should slow down, avoid distractions, and observe the lower speed limit in work zones.

Crews are replacing the superstructure of the Adams Lane bridge, which includes the beams and bridge deck. Upgrades are also being made to the barrier and guardrail. The work started late last year, beams were set earlier this month, and the rehabilitated bridge is expected to reopen this spring.
